EXPERTLY CRAFTED & RESPONSIBLY SOURCED
Our pieces are crafted from the finest materials using precious metals and ethically sourced gemstones. Our founder has been designing and building relationships with gold jewelers for over 11 years.
We founded GiftListe on the belief that making fine jewelry doesn’t have to come at the cost of our values. In partnership with our trusted suppliers, we consider quality, durability, and longevity when carefully selecting our materials.
PRECIOUS METALS
18K Gold Vermeil
Our products use 18K Gold Vermeil as the main material. Not to be confused with regular gold plating, our 18k gold vermeil has a thick layer of 18K gold (up to 5 times more than regular plating) over 925 sterling silver, this means it will retain its color longer and provides that lux look you love at a great price. Very few other jewelers do this.
Our oxygen bathing technique ensures your Giftliste pieces are luxe and enduring. Oxygen bathing is done to remove all moisture and liquid from the sterling silver before the 18k gold layer is added. It allows the gold to adhere more tenaciously to the silver and prevents tarnishing between layers (which would ultimately show up on the surface). We don't skip steps or take shortcuts - because you deserve the very best.
925 Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is always a classic choice, timeless and durable. As pure silver is too soft to last, 925 silver combines 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metallic elements. Our 925 sterling silver is always free of allergenic metals like nickel. To ensure superior luster and durability, it's coated in rhodium - a corrosion-resistant metallic element more valuable than gold.
18K Gold
18K gold means it’s made of 75% gold and 25% alloyed metals.Since 18K has a higher amount of gold, it offers a richer, more vibrant color. That makes it so delicate and exquisitely stunning. The additional metals in 18K gold serve to make the alloy harder and it is less likely to be damaged than pure gold (24K), which is too soft for jewelry.
PEARLS
Our pearl types can be roughly divided into three types, and the pearl types will be clearly marked on the product details page:
Seawater Pearls: Seawater pearl pearls are a long-time favorite in the pearl industry,They are JAPANESE AKOYA PEARLS, TAHITIAN SOUTH SEA PEARLS, WHITE & GOLDEN SOUTH SEA PEARLS, etc.
Freshwater Pearls: We use freshwater pearls from freshwater mussels and oysters that we carefully select for our pieces. Freshwater pearls are also popular for their affordable price points.
Shell Pearls: Imitation pearls polished from the shell of mother-of-pearl have a strong luster and are a perfect alternative to real pearls because they are more affordable.
They are pure natural materials, there are some differences in color and shape. According to the photos, the color and size markings of pearls may be slightly different as all the products are hand selected.Pearls are sensitive in nature, so don’t forget to treat them with love.
MORE MATERIALS
Crystals & Gemstones
Our gemstones are all genuine natural mineral gemstones. It is prized for its beauty, longevity and rarity.
Many gemstones have beautiful meanings and powers, such as love, happiness, wealth, confidence, success, good luck, etc.
There are amethyst, citrine, jade, turquoise, aventurine, topaz, malachite, peridot, agate, opal, etc.
(A very small number of gemstones set in 18K gold vermeil are synthetic gemstones, which are written as "synthetic" in the introduction).
Enamel
Enameling is a technique where a glossy substance is applied to the surface of metal. To ensure our pieces are more durable, we use cold enamel, a.k.a epoxy resin enamel, that doesn’t contain glass.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel jewelry is an extremely durable, waterproof, sweatproof, corrosion-resistant, and light-weight metal. It is very comfortable to wear and will not fade. It is the best choice for custom engraving materials.
